After Part II of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, the people we encountered have become much more complex and have a lot more depth. What new things have we learned about human nature at this point?
Reader #4-There are many different people in the ward. Most of them are very quiet and some are very loud. Some of these people see the world as a scary place some people just don’t care. The thing that has stood out the most is the way that McMurphy is reacting to different things, and to Miss ratched. On page 159 it says ‘’He’d won his bet, He’d got the nurse’s goat the way he said he would, and collected on it,but that didn’t stop him from going right ahead and acting like he always had, hollering up and down the hall, laughing at the black boys, frustrating the whole staff, even going so far as to step up to the big nurse.’’ There they are talking about how McMurphy acts way different than any other person in the ward. He’s not afraid of the black boys or the big nurse, nobody else in that ward would ever do that because their scared of what’s gonna happen to them. McMurphy’s actions differ from any other person in the ward. He’s confident in what he says and what’s gonna happen, everybody else is just scared.

Reader #4 has made some very good points on the behaviors of the patients. McMurphy is nothing like the rest of them. He isn't afraid and would do anything to win money. The other patients could use some of McMurphy's courage.

I agree with reader #4 because McMurphy is definitely the most confident in the ward and doesn't care what the others think

I agree because McMurphy doesn't care about anything and he just does his own little thing without any worries about it, he doesn't care what miss ratched thinks or the black boys.

I agree with reader #2, McMurphy does change in part II. He stops acting out and trying to control the ward. He seems to be starting to let the ward control him.

I agree with reader #4 as for how things are in the ward with the patients and the staff. Most of the patients seem to be really scared of the big nurse, even though she can't do anything to them unless they behave. Unlike them, McMurphy doesn't seem the least bit concerned about the staff and Miss Ratched and just acts the way he always does no matter what.

I agree because McMurphy isn't scared of the nurse like how the other patients are. McMurphy is really on his own while the other patients care about what the nurse does to them

i agree with reader number 4. I agree that McMurphys actions are very different from the other patients. Also that the other patients are scared and dont want to stand up to McMurphy.

I think that is partly to in response to reader 4 McMurphy only acts up, because he doesnt fullly understand his surroundings yet, and What will happen. He went there without any clear idea as to what a metal ward is. I think he is here partly to take advantage of the system. Im not saying McMurphy is a selfish person but he certainly is in it for himself in the long run

I agree with reader 1. There are so many different t types of people in the ward. I don't think some of them belong there.

I agree with reader #6 because McMurphy is showing a lot of negative things in the ward. The treatments are effecting his personality and he is not himself anymore. Which was outgoing and positive.

Reader #4 says McMurphy is nothing like the patients and I agree with that. He always does things that the patients would never even think of doing.

I agree with reader #5 because I believe that Cheswick's death was caused by the fact that no one agreed with him. I think he expected McMurphy to, which is why he got so upset when he didn't.

Reader #4 is right, McMurphy is nothing like anyone in the ward. He is outgoing and willing to make a change. Even if he doesn't have the other patients support
